The value name of both of those registry keys is SHELL (x86) HKU\S-1-5-20\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS NT\CURRENTVERSION\WINLOGON#SHELL (x86) HKU\S-1-5-19\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS NT\CURRENTVERSION\WINLOGON#SHELL Here is the malware location in the registry: Re-ran a bunch of scans and the malware hasn't come back - yet. This time I ran hitmanpro, Junkware removal tool, adware cleaner (both malwarebytes tools) and they removed several registry keys, of which I have no record. Scanned 1 week later, ace was back at the same spot. I quarantined it, re-ran scans, seemed fine. Initially I scanned with malwarebytes, bitdefender and superantispyware (this program picked up ace). I may have succeeded, but I want to be 100% sure this malware is gone. I've been infected with ace and I have attempted to remove it. ![]()
